Russia also placed on high alert Nuclear Weapon units in order to defend Crimea.
I am afraid. All of this might be a precursor of war between US and other NATO nations on one side and Russia and China on the other side. In the Western Hemisphere Russia and China are close to Venezuela, Cuba and leftist-Socialist government of Brazil. Today Russia has second largest military and China has the third largest military. Russia put on highest alert it’s Northern fleet and conducting exercises in the Barents see, in close proximity to Finland, Sweden and Norway. The main target appears to be Finland which once was a part of the Russian empire. Finland became independent from Russia shortly after the Communist revolution in 1917.
Another area of concern, military exercises of Russian Pacific fleet in Kamchatka. If you look at the map, both Kamchatka and Alaska frame the Bering sea and are in close proximity. I am afraid that if Putin is pushed, he will strike. Believe it or not, but Russians are still talking about the fact that Alaska was not properly bought by the US.
