Lawrence of Nashua
New Hampshire’s all-Arab-American Senate race.
I’m not sure why Arabs settled in New Hampshire, but it can’t have been for the weather. It’s 40-something degrees outside and raining through gusts of wind, nevermind the snow that’ll soon be here. If you were leaving your home in the Middle East to build a new life in America, this doesn’t strike me as the place you’d stop. But many Arabs did—enough to produce the families of New Hampshire’s two major-party U.S. Senate candidates.
Rep. John E. Sununu, the Republican nominee, is part Palestinian and part Lebanese. Gov. Jeanne Shaheen, the Democratic nominee, is the wife of one Lebanese-American—attorney and political operative Bill Shaheen—and the mother of three more.

You do realize that this article is six years old don’t you? Te election in question was the 2008 Senate race between incumbent Senator John E. Sununu and Jeanne Shaheen. Also, are you aware that the Lebanese, like the Iranians, are not Arabic?

you are wrong, they are Arabic and they speak Arabic language

Your ignorance apparently knows no bounds.
Persians are not Arab any more than Koreans are Japanese.
And just FYI Iranians speak Farsi.
And even if they were Muslim, and the voters elect them, so what? No difference than if they were Jewish or Buddhist or Catholic or Protestant in the eyes of the law.
And you can continue to claim these candidates are Muslim and you continue to be wrong. But then that’s a pretty normal state for you.

Paul Jackson, your total and complete idiocy is on display. Nobody was talking about Persions. You or some other dumb obot going by pseudonym “voter from NH” said that Iraqies and Lebanese are not Arabs. I responded that he does not know what he is talking about: both Iraques and Lebanese are most definitely Arabs.
