   Illegals definitely can’t start businesses with no ID behind them, like the legal immigrants can. We just need to make sure that those guys only stick with the jobs that a lot of Americans don’t want, like the farm/ranch jobs.

   If illegal immigrants have become the backbone of our economy, the American business model is flawed. Promoting illegal immigration only ensures that our standard of living will decline to the level of the third world countries these people are coming from. Instead of promoting the cause for more unskilled labor, our country need to encourage the best and brightest foreign students studying in American Universities to stay once they graduate. How many people really believe that we can balance our trade deficit by selling produce and low tech manufactured goods overseas. Too much foreign competition with cheap labor. If Wasserman’s comment about backbone of economy is coming from the falsehood that Pelosi spews that Food Stamps (and other handouts) are good for the economy, they should put all of us on food stamps (not).

    It isn’t fair, I haven’t grown up with Wassereman, nor am I a trained sociologist, but an observation from the ’60s and ’70s is applicable I feel, albeit from outside of her environment.

    During those interesting times I noticed that many of the bra-burners seemed dis-possessed by society. I am specifically referring to their apparent dislike of themselves by virtue of their homely appearances, their unattractiveness. I feel that an unhealthy opinion of one’s looks can lead to roguish behavior, even a leap into insane activity.

    Not to belabor the point, merely to point out some possible underlying cause, but Wasserman’s mindset could have been affected by a self hatred from youth, and played out grossly in rebellion toward today’s world of Beautification.

    Perhaps if the DNC would pony-up for cosmetic surgery for their leader the result could move American politics more toward the reasonable.
