I am tickled pink about this. But, do you realized that greenwald held this back for a year so he could use it to promote his book? Look at the timing.

Snowden has nothing there in Russia. He gave everything to Greenwald a year ago.

I wondered why the disclosures stopped, but then heard about the book. Ah ha! Now the book is released and the juiciest tidbit gets released along side it.

Glenn Greenwald: Edward Snowden has not leaked a single document in 9 months
Glenn Greenwald, a journalist most famous for his collaboration with whistleblower Edward Snowden on National Security Agency revelations, today revealed how NSA leaks become stories.

According to Greenwald, Snowden has played no role in “deciding which documents are or are not reported” since he left Hong Kong.

Edward Snowden has not leaked a single document to any journalist since he left Hong Kong in June: 9 months ago. — Glenn Greenwald

Edward Snowden recently told James Risen of The New York Times that he gave all of the classified documents he had taken from the National Security Agency’s internal systems to the journalists he met in Hong Kong and kept no copies himself.

“As with a fireworks show, you want to save your best for last,” Greenwald told GQ magazine. “The last one is the one where the sky is all covered in spectacular multicoloured hues.”

maybe this is their strategy to build up the pressure. Maybe it is related to negotiations to bring Snowden back to the US. I am not privily to their decisions and strategy, but I wish they would release everything ASAP

This is good news no matter what Greenwald’s strategy is. It will only hit home with some people when they can see how the spying is being used against people around the world.

I agree, any release, even belated, is better than no release
