Bill Maher Fights for Privacy in Wake of Donald Sterling Scandal: ‘He Was Bugged’ by ‘Big Girlfriend’ (Video)
Bill Maher saved the best — and most controversial — “New Rule” for last on Friday’s “Real Time.” The HBO host used his platform to argue for personal privacy in the wake of the Donald Sterling taped racist rant scandal. First, the funny: ”If the Donald Sterling mess proved anything, it’s that…
While i disagree with Bill Maher on many other issues and he can be a jerk at times, he is right on Sterling issue. Even though we all agree that Sterling’s statements were inappropriate and stupid, people cannot and should not be punished for something they said in the privacy of their own home while they are being illegally recorded

I agree that people have a right to privacy in their own homes, but that ought never put murder and other illegal behavior beyond the reach of the law.

of course. We are not talking about crimes committed in a home, we are talking about dumb, inappropriate statements, which do not constitute a crime

Bill Maher is makin the libers real mad-maybe Obama will have the IRS audit him like he did to others who disagreed with him-

I don’t care if Maher says Obama is illegitimate – Maher is SCUM. I don’t see how putting his mug or his comments on this site does anything for you.

the clip dealt with the issue f using private conversations to severely punish someone. This is a slippery slope and if not stopped, it will be used against many, particularly dissidents against the regime like you. I guarantee you that Sterling case is only a dry run, a beginning.

I agree with you, Dr., it is a window into our future. The politically correct speech Nazis have been working towards this for some time. My point is that Maher, who is the lowest form of life on this planet and a demonstrated ignoramus, is the LAST person I would ever use to validate my point. Yes, he said something that was accurate – but even a broken clock is right twice a day. It’s the entirity of what this man has said and believes hat troubles me and utterly invalidates him as a human being.

Dolphins fine safety Don Jones for negative tweets about Michael Sam
Miami Dolphins safety Don Jones was fined an undisclosed amount Sunday and will undergo educational training after sending a negative tweet about Michael Sam, the first openly gay player to be selected in the NFL draft.
The Dolphins reacted swiftly to Jones’ comments in the wake of the team’s bullying scandal last year, which embarrassed the NFL and prompted a nationwide debate about workplace harassment.

we have to use all available means to win. Contact him and see if he will talk about the fact that Oprah made racist and defamatory statements publicly, but NBA commissioner sis not even respond to the written complaint. I am not a fan of Maher, but you might get a win from an unexpected source or angle

Wow! When Mahr agrees with our Dr Orly, then, you know that the punishment should not have happened, to the Dolphins player!
And whatever happened to “free speech?”

I am quite surprised that maher was not sycophantically waving the banners for the thought police. I guess he decided to make one good choice to make up for years of horrible choices. About time…
