This is unbelievable and insane: United Nations tells Vatican to support abortions. Does United Nations tell Muslim countries to support abortions too? What jurisdiction does UN have to dictate Vatican what to do?

do you think the pope could be bought?
February 5th, 2014 @ 3:58 pm
I hope not, he seems to be a decent and humble person, but these days nothing is for sure.
Sad state of affairs of a pope could be pressured to sanction any and all abortions
February 5th, 2014 @ 4:34 pm
In my humble opinion at this point in history, it would appear as though the UN is worthless………
February 5th, 2014 @ 4:49 pm
So right Doug, dismantle them and turn headquarters into museum.
February 5th, 2014 @ 6:02 pm
Starting with the link to the Gateway Pundit, I followed numerous links and had to download a file. The only reference to abortion was:
Health
54. The Committee expresses its deepest concern that in the case of a nine-year old girl
in Brazil who underwent an emergency life-saving abortion in 2009 after having been raped
by her stepfather, an Archbishop of Pernambuco sanctioned the mother of the girl as well as
the doctor who performed the abortion, a sanction which was later approved by the head of the Roman Catholic Church’s Congregation of Bishops.
55. The Committee urges the Holy See to review its position on abortion which
places obvious risks on the life and health of pregnant girls and to amend Canon 1398
relating to abortion with a view to identifying circumstances under which access to
abortion services can be permitted.

We need to end religion worldwide. Its archaic BS and there is no proof behind it besides the writing of ancients. Religions are systems of control that are used to manipulate people on their fears and hopes. There is no need for god belief or religion. Believing in god or religion is not done because a god tells you to, its done because man tells you too. It is not instinct to believe in god, god does not tell me to worship it or follow a religion. Religion and god beliefs are all man made fiction to control masses. The reason religion survives is because of forced childhood indoctrination and its easier to manipulate the growing mind of a child than an adult. I am an atheist 34 years old, never have I partaken in religious practice. I know what caring about others is and empathy is. Religion and god beliefs have caused more harm than good. Look at all the people Christians used to kill and look at all the people Muslims currently kill.

But I think we should drop from the UN and get out of the middle east.

“This is unbelievable and insane:”
Obama and friends are up to no good and no news agency (agency LOL) is reporting it.
Imagine 750 gays burning in Obama’s old hang-out, and not one word in the national press core or the AP, better known as “The Obama Apologetic Press, not The Associated Press.
Now enter Hillary Clinton’s Lesbo associations, one in particular U.S. Rep. Antony Wieners wife Huma Abedin, a Muslim and let’s not forget the arsonist Musab Mohamed Masmari, is a Libyan-US citizen, who worked as a State Department for Obama as a cultural ambassador at a Seattle new media center event and was from Benghazi, Libya. Now how odd is that?
Do four dead Americans ring any bells, a cover-up on a grand scale?
“ONE MILLION DOLLAR BOND Set For Obama Muslim Cultural Ambassador Who Torched a Seattle Gay Club
Posted by Jim Hoft on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, 12:50 PM
American-Libyan Musab Mohamed Masmari was arrested this week for torching “Neighbours” a gay night club in Seattle on New Year’s Eve.
750 patrons were in the night club at the time.
Musab Mohamed Masmari, from Benghazi, Libya, was arrested en route to the airport.
Today a million dollar bond was set for Musab Masmari – citing risk of flight.
The Stranger reported:
Seattle police arrested Musab Mohamed Masmari this morning in association with the New Year’s Eve arson at Neighbours nightclub, says Detective Mark Jamieson.
The Seattle Police Department’s Arson/Bomb Squad had been working with a joint terrorism task force since the incident occurred in the early minutes of January 1, when someone poured gasoline down a flight of stairs in the packed gay bar and lit it ablaze. All 750 patrons escaped without injury.
Masmari has been arrested four times since May and that in the past he had been arrested for things like for assault and property destruction.
UPDATE: As Debbie Schlussel reported – Musab Mohamed Masmari, a Libyan-US citizen, worked as a State Department cultural ambassador at a Seattle new media center event.”

This is an extreme example of the left wing attack on Christianity. Marxists have always attacked religion in their efforts to replace family, religion, community with the state. The state of course being the all powerful commissars who decide everything for the rest of the people. The U.N. has morphed into Stalinist Russia.

To Todd: Your totalitarian philosophy is not something everyone could believe in. Much horror in the world can also be attributed to atheists. On top of it all, at the bottom of things, is the question: Nothing at all? Read over your thoughts daily, until you believe them, and you make your own religion.
February 6th, 2014 @ 8:14 am
The UN must never be allowed the powers of state (nations).
February 6th, 2014 @ 8:21 am
Todd, cool..no religion telling right from wrong. I’d like to mix in with your wife and daughters, man.
February 6th, 2014 @ 8:43 am
Todd, I respect your position, but I have witnessed the power of prayer personally regarding my prayers for my family. The changes I have witnessed were to great to be coincidence or anything else and to great to be denied. Just as you proclaim you atheism, I will proclaim my GOD, nothing will ever convince me otherwise. I look at the earth and see a perfect model for human life, it it wasn’t made by a loving GOD, my simplistic example, why does a rose grow so small and delicate and a redwood so tall and mighty, if it was the other way around there would be no wood and our mightiest tree would be small and useless and our most beautiful flower would large and useless. If the making of earth was happenstance and luck than why is a tree made of something as usefull as wood and why would the off chance of primal ooze and cells be not only lucky enough to make one species, but get lucky enough to make thousands of different species. Note trying to convert anyone here just qualifying my statement and trying to explain why I feel the way I do. Please don’t read into this there is no malice in my words. Todd I wish you and your family the best.

I can respect people with religion as long as they are not pushy, but many are militant about pressing others and don’t even follow their dogma.
I mean the thoughts of religion are outlandish, like I could almost believe aliens teraformed our planet and were once considered gods by ancient man before I can believe any Christianity or Judaism or Muslim faiths, etc.
I myself dont like belonging to groups of people, I am more pursuant of self worth and value and pride in making my life the best I can without the help of others or a faith to pray to to ask for help. I attribute much of my success to hard work and striving to make my life the best I can. I never prayed. Asked very few for help, if any.
I find religion to kind of be an outlandish hope of life beyond life, sure I would love to continue to live forever, but when I look at the stark revelations of the world and what it is, all I see at the end of my time is a dark void of nothingness and being unaware that I ever even existed. Sad to think about, maybe religion helps people feel they can sugar coat that feeling, but in the end, it wont really matter what they believe. I make the best I can out of life, help my friends and family in need if they allow, I pursue greatness and don’t let the future possibility my life will end at some point and nothing will matter anymore.
I know people can say atheist have contributed to quite a bit of the worlds problems, seems like we are only like 6% of the population so we couldn’t of been that big of a problem. When you kill in the name of something you can’t prove but your religion also says you shouldn’t kill and then says to kill for somethings, its almost contradictory of itself. But I wont back down from my previous statement that religion causes more harm than good. Vatican lets their priests molest boys, that is fucking sick and they try to cover it up. Muslims blow up people. Christians used to burn people they thought were witches and then there was the crusades.

Todd, you are not alone in your
beliefs. Many highly educated
have the same empty concepts.
First of all, Christianity is not a
religion. It is a faith in things
unseen.
Secondly, you must believe in
the teachings of Christ, become
baptised, ‘born again’ and throw
off the old creature, putting on
the new creature.
Thirdly, it is easy to deceive the world
and oneself by labeling oneself
anything, such as ‘Christian’ when in
reality it is untrue and deceptive.
>
Christians do not murder, torture,
steal, lie, or destroy. It is not
in their character..
Those who do so are heathens.
There will be a Judgment Day and
you and all of us will be there for
our destiny to be decided. It will
be either a glorious Heaven or
an eternal Hell.
Jesus was sent as our path
to salvation. He is the only
Way, Truth and Life.
No one comes to the Father
except through belief in Him.
Forget what you have been
taught about the Christians
murdering in the name of
Christianity. They were heathens.

PS… start reading the book of
John in the New Testament,
and then on to the other
books. Forget the OT which
displayed our God as angry,
and vengeful… and He had a
right to be as the people on
earth at that time were mostly
a wicked lot. That is why He
sent His Son, to die for our
sins so that we may have a
chance to change our ways and
become children of God.

Will: yeah…instead of the drones taking the Twin Towers down…they should’ve gone into the UN Building…and solved a lot of real problems that continue to fester: (IE)-small weapons ban! And on and on…!
The UN doesn’t have any real authority to tell America ANYTHING! They better hope and pray I don’t get elected President someday! That entity will cease to exit!!!
