Some of those photos were taken by someone else. In one it is obvious that the angle could not have been taken by him as his arms are not in the correct position. So WHO took them? Also, his recounting is full of poetic literary tones, such as the moment the whale looks at him. He seems to tell the readers that All Survived: ” As I was being treated, I looked for the other survivors an asked if they’re okay, but I didn’t asked out loud in speaking. I asked with just a look and was answered and confirmed with their expression. We survived!!! |

They talked about the angles in the photos at Free Republic.

Click the Link above. You can see that’s what he was holding as he went down the stairs and entered the water, filming as he went…

He didn’t need to have a long arm:
Overview
The GoPro SP POV Pole is a telescoping extension pole that’s built for action with strength and durability in mind. It’s initial compact size makes for the perfect travelling companion, and can extend up to 48cm.
Best Angles
Get closer to the action with the GoPro SP POV 19” Pole, getting you video and images from angles that you can’t reach by hand and foot. The easy-to-grip handle lets you hold the pole for long periods of time.
Flip and Shoot
If you’re trying to get yourself in the picture, just flip your GoPro camera on the swivel head to capture POV angles of yourself.

Well, ALL of the survivors did survive.
That is like the old joke: How many dead people are buried in the cemetary?
Answer: ALL of them

Sandy Beach, I know you are an Obama operative, but even for an Obama operative this is a stretch. Nobody in his right mind will believe that when 9 people are about to drown in a sinking plane, someone would use not just a camera, but also an extension pole to shoot a video and take picture. Please, limit your hours of sun bathing on the beach of San Diego. To much sun hitting your head is really not healthy

Good point, Turnright.
Also, the idea of the Whale (this was in the narrative on his Facebook which has perhaps now been taken down) coming up close to Puentes and regarding him with interest with one eye. Wouldn’t whales be swimming AWAY from a crash and all that strange underwater sound they would have heard from the plane hitting the water?
And who has the presence of mind, while people are dying and suffering and in danger of drowning, to be communing with Mother Nature and fantasizing about Close Encounters with marine life?
It is almost as if Puentes had written his narrative as a stick in the eye of all those who perceive some evildoing in the Fuddy crash.

I doubt he wrote it
