DEAR FAMILY AND FRIENDS,

MUCH OF THE WARRING GOING ON AROUND THE WORLD TODAY IS, IN MANY CASES, INSTIGATED AND / OR   PARTICIPATED IN BY THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD.  FROM TALKING TO MANY OF YOU I FOUND THAT FEW  REALLY KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS GROUP AND IT’S GOALS.  SO, I HAVE BEEN READING AND DIGGING TO FURTHER EDUCATE MYSELF ABOUT THIS ORGANIZATION AND HAVE PUT TOGEHTER A BRIEF SUMMARY TO SHARE WITH YOU.  PLEASE READ AND IF YOU THINK WORTHWILE, SEND IT ON TO YOUR LIST….
BEST,
ED
~ THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD ~
The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in 1928 in the city of Ismailia, Egypt in March 1928 by Hasan al-Banna, a 22-year-old elementary school teacher.  It is a transnational Islamic political normalization and Islamic revivalist movement following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.  It’s credo is:  “Allah is our objective.  The Prophet is our leader.  Qur’an is our law.  Jihad is our way.  Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”
The Brotherhood’s Ideology is Sunni Islamism and Religious Conservatism.  The stated goal is to instill theQur’an and Sunnah as the “sole reference point for ordering the life of the Muslim family, individual, community  and state.  The movement is known for engaging in political violence, and claiming responsibility for the installation of Hamas.  Muslim Brotherhood members are suspected of  assassinating political opponents like Egyptian Prime Minister Mahmoud an-Nukrashi Pasha.
The Brotherhood believes the Quran and Sunnah constitute a perfect way of life and social and political organization that God has set out for man. Islamic governments must be based on this system and eventually unified in a Caliphate. The group’s goal, as stated by Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna was to reclaim Islam’s manifest destiny, an empire, stretching from Spain to Indonesia.   It preaches that Islam enjoins man to strive for social justice, the eradication of poverty and corruption, and political freedom to the extent allowed by the laws of Islam. The Brotherhood strongly opposes Western colonialism, and helped overthrow the pro-western monarchies in Egypt and other Muslim countries during the early 20th century.
The Brotherhood, AKA Ikhwan, has engaged in terrorism, assassinations, and anti-Western, anti-Semitic rhetoric and violence for almost a century—yet few Americans realize how powerful they really are. While we focus on al Qaeda, Hamas, and Hezbollah, it’s actually the Muslim Brotherhood, the world’s oldest, most influential, and most anti-American Islamist group, that has become the preeminent voice and power in the Muslim world and is the greatest threat to our American way of life.  Unfortunately, we have a President  who still refuses to acknowledge the Muslim Brotherhood as a jihadist operation.
Headquartered in Cairo, Egypt.  The Brotherhood’s present leader is Mohammed Badie.  You can access it’s website at:  www.ikhwanonline.com & www.ikhwanweb.com
A very complex financial network connects the operations of over seventy branches of the Muslim Brothers worldwide.  During the Muslim Brothers’ years of existence, there have been cycles of growth, followed by divisions into factions, including clandestine financial networks, and violent jihad groups, such as al-Jihad and al-Gama’at al-Islamiyya in Egypt, HAMAS in Palestine and mujahideen groups in Afghanistan.

According to The Washington Post, U.S. Muslim Brotherhood supporters “make up the U.S. Islamic community’s most organized force” by running hundreds of mosques and business ventures, promoting civic activities, and setting up American Islamic organizations to defend and promote Islam.   In 1963, the U.S. chapter of Muslim Brotherhood was started by activists involved with the Muslim Students Association(MSA).   U.S. supporters of the Brotherhood also started other organizations including: North American Islamic Trust in 1971, the Islamic Society of North America in 1981, the American Muslim Council in 1990, the Muslim American Society in 1992 and the International Institute of Islamic Thought in the 1980s.

The aims of the Brotherhood in America are: “The process of settlement is a “Civilization-Jihadist Process” with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”

—’An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America,’ 1981.
