A college in Herzliya, Israel was named after Daniel Pearl, an American journalist who was beheaded in Pakistan by Muslim extremists.
It is appalling that not one single school of journalism in the United states named a school after Daniel Pearl, that it took a foreign country to honor U.S. journalist. It shows how far gone the profession of journalism in the U.S., as we see all of the main stream media a 100% controlled and censored by the ruling regime, when journalists with integrity are not honored and lying scoundrels like Rachel Maddow, Chris Mathews, Anderson Cooper, David Gregory, John Avalon and other MSM reporters are considered the pillars of the journalistic community. the only dissent that is allowed, such as FOX, is similarly controlled and allowed some limited barking on limited issues. People like Bill O’Reilly act as controlled opposition, creating an illusion of opposition. Journalism is considered the fourth branch of the government. When the fourth branch of government is dead, there is no one to control the other three branches, which are sinking in unprecedented corruption.
