Thank you for offering to pay my travel and hotel expenses to testify in your case, Orly. I will be a very good witness and will testify to the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Because of your generosity in offering to pay my way, I am currently studying Indonesian for 4 hours a day, and I expect to be your translater on the 26th. “Ada gula ada semut.” That means, “Where there is sugar, there will be ants.” See? I’m getting good already!

I’ll have my bill ready for you in the courtroom. Please be ready to reimburse my expenses at that time. See you in Atlanta in just 12 days!

Any particular dialect? There are over 700 languages spoken in Indonesia.

If it’s standardized Bahasa Indonesia, the court probably has a certified *interpreter* it can refer (courts don’t use “translators”).

I know you’d love to extract healthy teeth, Orly. That’s known as torture, and you’d be good at it.

But now you have explicitly agreed you owe me for travel and hotel expenses, in writing. Bring your money, Orly. If you don’t pay, you’ll spend the night behind bars. Bring your toothbrush or your checkbook. Your choice.

What do you need an interpreter for. Do you have a live witness or are you going to have the interpreter translate that news clip. If so, will that be admissable as evidence? The witness is not sworn.

I believe the creators of YouTube have already been sworn in and can provide documentation for Chain of Custody.
