..from new PPP poll…. [iowa caucus voters]..
…tidbit from the PPP poll, the first question about Barack Obama asked if the respondents think he was born in the United States. Fifty-two percent either said he was not or they’re not sure.

    Here’s the problem with polls.
    If I ask 10 people what kind of sandwich they like, and 6 of them says “Roast beef”, that does not mean 60% of all people prefer Roast beef.

    No, Frank. But it’s different if you ask 10,000. If the sample is statistically significant you can rely on the answer.

    So, if I show you a poll with results showing that millions of people think birthers are crazy, you’ll accept that as truth then?

    A poll of “likely Republican caucus voters.”

    Sadly not representative of the population as a whole.

    I’ll accept the results of a poll showing that millions of people think birthers are crazy as the truth, if you’ll accept the results of a poll showing that millions more people don’t think Obama is eligible to be POTUS as truth. Deal or No Deal? 🙂

    Sure, now show me something where the core group polled is an actual cross-sample of America and not a group comprised of only “likely Republican caucus voters”.
