Martha Van Oot Nominated NHBA President~Elect
BOG Election Update

MARTHA VAN OOT, a Hopkinton attorney and NHBA vice president, has been nominated president-elect by the Board of Governors. The president-elect serves a one-year term before assuming the Bar presidency.

Van Oot practiced trial law for 20 years in New Hampshire before leaving private practice to become an adjunct faculty member at Vermont Law School, where she has taught for the last two years.

The deadline for nominations by petition for vacant positions on the NHBA Board of Governors was Feb. 15, as Bar News went to press. A complete roundup of candidates, including biographical information and candidate statements, will appear on the Bar’s Web site after the petition deadline and in the March 9 issue of Bar News. Ballots for the Board of Governors election will be mailed to all voting members of the NHBA on March 15 and must be returned to the Bar for tabulation by the end of the day on April 15.

In addition to vice president, secretary and treasurer (all one year terms), candidates will be selected for two governor-at-large positions (three-year terms) and as county governors to represent Cheshire, Coos, Grafton, Merrimack and Rockingham counties for two-year terms.

Okay. What bar rules did they violate?

Ignorance? Or rather stupidity and arrogance at its best? That is the question presented pertaining to this NH election board charade – AKA committee.

How can any Attorney at law, State elected Representative, Secretary of State or the NH AG himself, remain oblivious to any laws directly aimed at their legal structure of State Government?

This is not legal ignorance on their behalf.

What exactly should we say when we report her, Lady Liberty? What is the verbiage to use?

To be consistent, which of these rules should we cite when filing the bar complaint?

    https://www.courts.state.nh.us/rules/pcon/

Should we just use the same one when contacting the law school?

@ William… “How can any Attorney at law, State elected Representative, Secretary of State or the NH AG himself, remain oblivious to any laws directly aimed at their legal structure of State Government? ”

    Such as?

Good. I thought it was just me who wasn’t understanding what to report.

In the accounting profession we are developing nationwide standards, but I believe that attorneys are subject to state standards. What are the New Hampshire and Vermont rules applicable to attorneys?

    For starters,

They knowingly failed to apply NH law regarding eligibility of election ballot candidates, thus violating election law, violating U.S. Constitutional law, committing election fraud, and further aiding and abetting in election fraud on behalf of Barack Obama.

Personal attacks on the members of the Ballot Commission as well as the attacks on the Republican leader are designed, and I emphasize the word designed, to get exactly the result you do not want.

The truth will eventually come out Orly, but will it before the 2012 election. I doubt it, however you must continue to try Orly. Is Obama actually paying these obots and why did he go to NH the other day unexpectantly?

Other then, Mrs. Van Oot, nominated to the NHBA and being a member of the Ballot Comission their is no conflict of interest, unless she’s accepted the nomination. As a member of the Ballot Comission she could have withdrawn if she intends to accept the nomination. Board members cannot be elected officials to any Office. Brad Cook conveined a panel of 3 Democrats (Clemens,Oot,Moran) and one Republican (French). Jamison French has been shown to have made contributions as a member of the Comission,(RINO)? Their doesn.t seem to be enough members appointed to the Ballot Comission in order to conveign a rehearing. Might as well move on to the NH Supreme Court because of negligience of the Ballot Comission or the Supreme Court may hold the complaint in negligience. Otherwise, it’ll be delay, delay, delay waitng for them to get their house in order.

James, what conflict of interest are you referring to? Please elaborate. Orly needs detailed info, not some vague statement.

    Paul,

My response was not directed at this post title. I did not respond nor write anything pertaining to the NH BAR Association and/or making an legal complaints against any attorney as such title directs.

I did however make the same identical post comment, same day (11-25-11) in another listing, which at that time was the top post and none other at that time. The tile thread I responded to was the video research article “Exposing additional Evidence..” I did not respond to the “Report to the BAR Association” thread.

My comment showed up in a later thread but same day, different title, and not at the one I accurately responded too.

Lastly, I do stand behind my comment pertaining to the video research if you wish to discuss that portion.

As always, I appreciate you and your comments.
