The government wants to turn your life savings into toilet paper

It is usually good to see, what the other side says. I switched on CNN and watched a debate on economics moderated by Fareed Zackaria. The guests were Nobel prise winner in Economics Paul Krugman and former chief economists for the IMF Ken Rogoff.
First, I would like to say, that the Nobel price committee in the area of Peace and economics became extremely politicised and dependant on ruling elite. Suffice to say that Yassir Arafat got a Nobel price for Peace and Obama was nominated, when he spent only 12 days in office and those days were filled with partying and watching football. So much for Nobel Price.
Today economists pushing globalist agenda are being praised and rewarded. Krugman’s mantra: we need to spend and spend, we need to create the inflation, which would wipe out the debt. That made me so angry, I was ready to scream. What he is not saying, is that inflation, which would devalue the US dollar, will also wipe out your life savings. For example, my husband and I worked hard all our lives to save money for retirement and for our children’s future. Many Americans were responsible and did the same. At the same time our bought and paid for scoundrels in the White House and Congress spent like there is no tomorrow, billions of dollars went to cronies, went to banks, which invested in factories in China, land in India and off shore drilling in Brazil. Now they want us to pay by raising our taxes, by incurring more debt and by devaluing the dollar. Our life savings, retirement accounts, our children’s savings will be reduced to toilet paper.
Keep in mind, that much of the US debt is in unfunded obligations of Social Security and Medicare. So, future Medicare and Social security payments will be paid in dollars, as valuable as the toilet paper. That is what CNN is peddling, that is what Obama’s advisers are peddling.
We are done with the action figures and puppets. This country needs one decent leader, who will speak up the truth and common sense. In your family, when you incur debt, you do not go on shopping spree, you cut spending and you work extra hours to pay off the debt. In the government the same is needed. We have a huge debt, we have to cut spending, pass balanced budget amendment and bring jobs back to America. Americans want to work, but they are losing millions of jobs to cheap labor in China. The only thing that will bring the jobs back, is to clean up elections, bring clean politicians, who will repeal WTO-GATT, assess tariffs on products made in China, which would be an incentive for industrialists and banks to reinvest in the US and in American workers. When you attend town hall meetings and speak to politicians, please, raise the issue of need for tariffs on Chinese products in order to incentivise investment in American workers. Don’t let them sway you by phrazes like “we can’t do it in global economy.” Yes we can, global trade does not mean global suicide. We can keep free trade with developed countries, like Canada, Great Britain, Germany, France, but we have to assert tariffs on products from the third world countries with de facto slave labor.

Dear Orly: so are so right!
You wrote, “At the same time our bought and paid for scoundrels in the White House and Congress spent like there is no tomorrow, billions of dollars went to cronies, went to banks, which invested in factories in China…
and you wrote…
“Americans want to work, but they are losing millions of jobs to cheap labor in China.”
REMEMBER, PEOPLE! This is exactly what Donald Trump is doing to us. He has admitted it.
He makes his line of Donald Trump Signature clothing in Commie China! He uses Red Chinese factories manned by Chinese slaves to produce his clothing line. He does this to make personal profit, and to hell with American jobs and investment.
Now we hear that he makes his Trump Serta mattresses in Indonesia! Were checking this out.
Trump’s only loyalty is to himself, Orly. He wants personal profit at the expense of American jobs.
PLEASE dear Orly, do not trust him. What you wrote about the dangers of Red China is EXACTLY what The Donald is DOING in Red China. I am so glad that so many people have started to see through this phony. Bless You!!

Equivalency. US companies pay taxes to cover this and that, competing with countries who not only do not have taxes, but use slave labor and child labor, with no protection of employees and no taxes to benefit the citizens. We need to give points to ous production system and what the costs include, and why. Then use points to upgrade or downgrade other countries and their products, and if they use slave labor or child labor, their products not allowed into our country. If they have a lower level tax system and do not provide public education through high school, they are taxed extra when coming into our country, and perhaps those added on taxes funneled back to that country into an education program, thereby leveraging an upgrade for citizen sof countries where the government is self aggrandizing. We need to level the playing field, penalize with tariffs those countries who are able to produce cheaply because of cost of living and taxes, and not providing infrastructure, streets, water, sewage for their citizens. No country should allow to have their products enter this country if they have slave labor or child labor. Any American company found to be using slave labor or child labor overseas would be banned from selling products in the US. All products should be required to show the country of origin and all products should have a grade on them for their compliance with US standard of living and treatment of citizens. That way shoppers can support equitable countries who treat their people respectfully, and simply not buy from countries who are abusive, criminal, or in any way destructive of their people. Even gasoline stations need to post what country their gas is coming from, and we can decide whether we want our money going to that country, where they might abuse women, or enslave children. Transparent equitable global trade.

I don’t trust anybody, but at this moment we need to bring the message to the forefront. Trump is no longer running, but he can bring the message. Also, I talked to many business people, who like Trump, are forced to manufacture in China to stay competitive. they are saying that if the laws will change, and tariffs are assessed, they will manufacture in the U.S.
Also, keep in mind, Trump is heavily invested in the real estate in the U.S. As the economy is going dow, his investments are going down, so he wants this country to succeed, not only as an American, but also because of his investments.

Stephen, Trump has no choice than to outsource to China to stay competitive. That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t like to keep the manufacturing jobs in the US. Trump is a businessman. He is just following the flow to stay afloat.

Trump is not the heavily invested in real estate. He’s sold most of his interests. What he has comes from allowing his name to be used. He gets a license fee and, sometimes, a small piece of a project he can’t sell. But it’s in no way an “investment.” His claimed $5B in net worth comes because he values his name for licensing purposes at $4.9B.

to those who complain about people like donald trump and others including oreily buying stuff from china and other countries, please do a bit of research
oreily claimed he could not find one company who would manufacture shirts for him true or false? if you know of such companies please let them know…
also these companies started out mostly with taxpayer money and when successful moved offshore… TAX THE HELL OUT OF THEM.. impose import fees on any US company who leaves the usa…
then and only then will we again be competitive in the USA..
but first GET RID OF THE USURPER IDIOT OBAMA

Trump is working for Team Obama. It is no coincidence that he surfaced and made a lot of noise about Obama’s birth certificate right before Corsi’s book is released. This, in turn, gives Obama the opportunity to “show” his long-form birth certificate – which, to nobody’s surprises, immediately placates Trump and the MSM.
Worse yet, now Trump is talking about running as an independent – a move which will fragment the GOP vote to the point of helping, if not ensuring, Obama’s reelection.
Do not trust Trump!
