From: RICHARD MCGRADYTo: matthew.kemkes@us.army.mil
Subject: Lt Col Lakin Court Martial
Dear General Horst,

My name is Richard B. McGrady, a retired US Army LTC.  I continue to serve as a volunteer for the Family Readiness Program at the 301st RSG in Butler, PA.  I had the priviledge to attend the court martial of LTC Terrence Lakin at Ft. Meade, MD.  I’ve never seen such a display of wanting to destroy a distinguished army veteran’s career.  The judge, Col. Denise Lind, did not allow any evidence or witnesses for his defense.  U.S.C. Rule 46 states “a defendant being court martialed has the right to call witnesses and obtain any evidence necessary to present a full defense”.  Guantanamo prisoners have more rights than does LTC Lakin.  He is a proven leader, soldier and physician.  We need him and more like him in our armed forces.  I pray that you will see justice done according to our constitution and reinstate this honorable veteran or at least grant a new trial where evidence and witnesses are allowed to be heard.  This is imperative to the morale and well being of all service personnel now and in the future.  We cannot continue to downgrade our military.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

LTC Richard B. McGrady USA (Ret)

Perhaps the US Army…. and not just the Army… but them for a start, needs some negative press of a nature they can’t afford. The Marines are known for not leaving their fallen behind for the enemy. Every body gets brought out. The Corps leaves none behind.

With LTC Lakin’s court proceedings it’s obvious that the whole leadership of today’s Army bugs out before there are any dead, before there’s any battlefield casualties at all.

The Army won’t stand up for what’s right. They won’t fight. Their upper officers are chicken s**t little yes-men who snivel in the corner over their hoped-for next rank, and their valhallic pensions. Where are the Washingtons and the Lees, the Billy Mitchells, the Pattons and Van Fleets, the Abrams’ and the Schwartzkopfs?

Enlist and become an “Army Of One”. After you charge the US Army with desertion, you’ll be the only one left.

ENLIST AND YOU CAN BECOME AN “ARMY OF ONE”. AFTER THE US ARMY DESERTS ON YOU, YOU’LL BE THE ONLY ONE LEFT.

It is disgraceful and disgusting what has happened to our military because of this man(Obama). Here you have a military judge, for the want of success and a big fish trial under her belt (not to mention pull from above) has dishonored a man with such a distinguished career of undeniable and selfless service of his country. I can see pitchforks and arms being taken up. I am not a violent, nor revolutionist, but in these days, it seems govt. solely exists for govt. sake. We have got to be near to some cataclysmic happening in this country’s time of existence.
God help LTC Lakin and all Americans!
