Dr.Orly,    I was 15 years old in 1961 and i remember a news program featuring Ann Dunham.The story was about her leaving the U.S.to “go over the water to marry o sr.” the story featured the fact that she was a communist.My Mom at that time said,”referring to  her child”that’s one kid that will never be president!”   I can’t remember what her reasons were for saying that tho. There has to be archives somewhere. We only had 3 t.v. stations then,and i believe we were watching NBC/channel 4.         I hope this info helps you.     Sincerely,DJMohler

    If she were going overseas to marry Obama Sr. there would be no “child” to comment about about yet. She must have been going to Indonesia to marry Soetoro. Because if she already had a child who “…will never be president!” That would mean that Obama Jr had already born.

    American Patriot, au contraire:

    She did not marry Soetero in 1961. She could be going overseas prior to the birth, for a tribal wedding in Kenya. The testimony is so far uncertain.

    Indeed, the Mother’s comment does not make sense unless it refers to an uborn child, about to be born: so your inferences are unfounded as they are wrong.

    I am puzzled. Why would they do a news story on a random girl named Ann Dunham going abroad in 1961 in the first place? Did the local news crews hang out at the airport doing stories on anyone who got on a plane? Do you have anymore details DJMOhler? What city were you living in at the time?
