Please, complain to your school boards, demand to pull trash like Chris Mathews “Hardball” from recommended reading

Yesterday one of my children told me that his teacher in AP Gov (Advanced Placement Government) told the students to buy Chris Mathews “Hardball”.
It is shocking, that instead of teaching the kids Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and Benjamin Franklin, the schools are teaching them trash like Chris Mathews. I am planning to meet with the teacher, the Principal and the school board, to make sure they don’t tell the students to read this garbage. I thought it might be happening in other schools and districts as well. Please, check the recommended reading for your kids and make it a point to go to the school boards and demand to pull it out of the program.
One thing is possible, is that the teacher recommended it as something representative of degradation and retardation of media, not as an example of real journalism. I will need to talk to the teacher and find out.

Awesome Orly. That way another one of your children can get thrown out of their school because you’re a moron.
Your husband is a disgrace for not having had you committed and for allowing you to continue destroying his children’s future by being associated with a fruitcake like you.

depending on what state you are in, go RIGHT TO THE TOP:
Contact the COMMISSIONER of EDUCATION for your state and CC the local press!

Around fifty years ago, when I was in public schools in several different states, as my family moved, I can assure that we studied the U.S. Constitution and the intent of the framers, year after year. I cannot remember specifically in which grades we studied what, but I can say that during ordinary public school education around this country, we went through the Constitution Article by Article, and amendment by amendment, as well as the Declaration of Independence. We, school children, understood the concept of unalienable rights, protected (not granted) by the Constitution, the concepts of limited government, state sovereignty, freedom of speech, the right to keep and bear arms as a defense against tyranny, freedom of the press, freedom from unwarranted search and seizure, to be secure in our papers and personal effects, we understood that our mail and phone conversations were private and could only be breached by court order, we understood the concept that a republican form of government ensures minority rights (rather than majority rule of democracy), we (that’s right, elementary school children), understood the checks and balances of the branches of government. One does not need a law degree to understand the brilliance and inherent goodness of this great charter for government. Any 10-year-old can understand if taught these essential basics. I have heard that it is not taught any longer, and not even lawyers understand it. Widespread ignorance of the Constitution is a prelude to tyranny.

If you want your teen to get college credit for his class, do him a favor — stay out of this. The syllabus for AP Government is designed to expose the students to a variety of viewpoints in the United States, and encourage the student to see ALL the moving parts that make up our political system. You are doing a disfavor by limiting his education, and he will suffer in college if he has a narrow worldview. Not to mention embarassing him in front of his friends and faculty, when you continually come to his aid.

Ibrahim, your senseless prattle gives away the fact that you are one of “Satan’s Kids.” Please take yourself to that little “Cat Box” in the middle east where you belong.
It is(for your information)the right and duty of American parents to question and criticise what the”Public Fool System” is trying to ram down the throats of their children.

it is an embarassment to our educational system to include Hardball by Chris Mathews as recommended reading

Politijabber–CLASSIC postmodern response! In the “foggy” postmodern view, students should be exposed to “ALL the moving parts that make up our political system”, as long as they do not critically analyze the substance of Dr. Taitz’ briefs, such as Barnett, Keyes v Obama 9th circuit appeal, just for example. Can you imagine if school teachers downloaded Taitz’ lawsuits and assigned them to classes for critical discussion, in-depth analysis of all the issues and evidence? Would that be appropriate to include in “ALL moving parts”? Also, what is more important, college credit, or critical thinking skills?

Is your kid so stupid that reading a book is going to change his mind?
You can teach your child directly. I doubt the book will have any influence, and perhaps he should know what the other side is up to.
