   I looked up his Published Opinions
   which might give insight into how
   he rules.

   A whole lot to wade through. I read only
   one on Reproductive Rights/Abortion
   and he did not rule in favor of the
   woman who claimed she had a forced
   abortion…he said there was not
   enough evidence. He said that
   “meteors also fall in the United States”
   which was a comment that bewildered
   her attorney.

   Maybe his other cases are more
   open-minded than he was for this
   Oriental, I think, woman.

   According to WorldNetDaily, after Lt. Lakin’s preliminary hearing he was placed in military custody and escorted back to base to prevent him from speaking to the press or with HIS OWN ATTORNEY. This is getting grotesque. It’s like they’re seeing how much they can spit in our face before we throw a punch.

   @PorkRoll:
   Soon-to-be-exLTC Lakin is accused in a criminal case. He essentially is under house arrest on his army base. He missed his orders to depart for Aghanistan and forced another doctor to take his position on short notice.

   Elizabeth, your reading of Samuel Alito’s opinion in XIU LING ZHANG v. ALBERTO GONZALES is incorrect. Alito, as part of a three-judge panel of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, ruled in Zhang’s favor. They vacated the ruling of the Immigration Judge and the BIA. Alito did not write line about “meteors”; the Immigration Judge did.

   @Robert:
   He didn’t miss his orders, he refused them until he was given proof that their ultimate source was Constitutionally qualified. His foremost responsibility is to uphold the Constitution and protect it from enemies both foreign and domestic (i.e. Obama being both).
