Is Bachmann supporting the birther movement?

During a stop in California over the weekend, Rep Michele Bachmann met up with top “birther” Orly Taitz to pose for a photo. Taitz is best known for representing clients in a series of lawsuits that challenge President Obama’s legitimacy by claiming he isn’t a United States citizen. Taitz said on her blog that she spoke at an event with Bachmann on Friday. Bachmann was in California on Friday speaking at an event sponsored by Phyllis Schlafly’s Eagle Forum.

Taitz, who’s running for Secretary of State in California with the backing of Tea Party activists, is no stranger to controversial statements
