   I am speechless. That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard in a long time. they do not pump CO2 into the ground to frack a well. They pump millions of gallons of water, sand, and chemicals into the ground using many trucks, all burning diesel, to do the pumping and haul the water. If the general public knew what was involved in fracking they would insist on a moratorium on it. That statement on Stossel is the definition of insanity, or more probably propaganda from the corporate facists who want to extract Oil and natural gas from the ground as cheaply as possible. There seems to be a subtle movement afoot to make people think that fracking is good. I can assure you it is only good for the oil companies, who have MANY places to drill where they do not need to frack.

   This is about the most ridiculous assertion I have ever heard. Fracking involves pumping MILLIONS of gallons of fresh water into the ground along with sand and chemicals. Millions of gallons per well I might add. This is done by using many trucks burning diesel to pump and haul the water. The oil companies seem to be launching a propaganda campaign in favor of fracking. The only ones who benefit from fracking are the oil companies. It allows them to recover oil from existing wells. They don’t have to drill new ones, although they do frack new wells as well. FRACKING IS VERY DETRIMENTAL TO THE ENVIRONMENT, especially the ground water. Do the powers that be really think people are ignorant. By the way. When the oil companies extract oil using a “cheaper” method, do you really think they are going to pass the savings on to you?

   please, provide evidence that fracking is detrimental to people. What chemicals are used and where is the evidence that these chemicals are detrimental? Liberal democrat environmentalist governor of CO found fracking to be safe

   I had someone look into fracking and he assures me that there are green fracking companies using technology that does not damage the environment. I’m still looking into this and will report more when I get the information.

   Thanks for your comment Orly. Here is a link to start on, briefly explaining the process. In my area many springs and wells have been destroyed by oil companies. My brother in law’s well house blew up while he was in the shower one day. The spark from the pressure pump motor set of the methane gas in his well house. People can light a match and have flames come out of their taps. There are many more problems with this process, but it is highly profitable. Even Liberal Democrat Environmentalists can be bought off. Just like judges.

   I read the info at the link. Well, this is a legitimate concern and definitely has to be addressed. Indeed, there should be a release of information as to what chemicals are being used. There have to be safeguards against use of carcinogens and against a release of carcinogens into the drinking water
