About Us
Firm Principal VERA BAKER spends her time between the office in Fort de France, Martinique and the office Miama, Florida.  She is an avid traveler, having VISITED 17 countries on 5 CONTINENTS, multi-lingual (English and French) and an occasional free lance writer.

Prior to launching Cape Caribbean, Ms. Baker worked for Alta Capital Group-a full-service municipal bond broker-deal.  She joined Alta Capital Group after serving as a Principal at Baker-Wambu & Associates, a strategic political and fundraising consulting firm based in Washington, DC.  Previously, she served as the National Finance Director on Senator Barack Obama’s 2004 Senate Campaign.

She also served as the Deputy Political Director at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.  Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, Ms. Baker received her dual Bachelor degrees in Political, Legal, and Economic Analysis and African American Studies from Mills College.  She worked toward a Master of Art in Political Science from Howard University and a Masters of Art in African American Studies.

I don’t know, but when you mention Miami, I recall the political reporter for CBS, Dean Reynolds write last week , “If so, I would love to have someone from Obama’s campaign explain why the entire press corps, the Secret Service, and the local police idled for two hours in a Miami hotel parking lot recently because there was nothing to do and nowhere to go. It was not an isolated case.”

There is a reason information about her is being scrubbed from the web. A close Business partner, with whom she is partnered in at least two business, and one with ties to France as a “Personal Trader” and real estate Broker… its possible. Certainly it smells bad.

This could be big breaking news as the Money laundering industry is alive and well in Martinique.
The Secret Service and the FBI and the FEC should be on this issue big time as if you do a Google search you will find that Martinque is one of Only two Caribbean countries that remain on the roster of countries blacklisted because of their lax stance toward money-laundering.

Simply, this is how it is believed to work: Cherif Sedky, using the blanket protection of attorney-client privilege, is the liaison between representatives of the Obama campaign and the wealthy Saudi financier Sheik Khalid bin Mahfouz. “Khalid Ganzal”, real name “Charlie” Wambu, served as the contact between bin Mahfouz and the front company Baker-Wambu & Associates, which is composed of two women: Muthoni Wambu, a confident of the Biden campaign (current role in the Obama/Biden campaign undetermined), and Vera Baker, former Finance Director of the Obama Senate campaign, now stationed in Martinique, a Caribbean island amid a plethora of tax havens and grey market offshore banking concerns.

The money flows from bin Mahfouz, likely using “Charlie” Wambu as a courier, to Vera Baker in the Caribbean, where the money is laundered to the Obama campaign. The pre-existing Baker/Wambu partnership likely explains Obama’s choice of Joe Biden over the considerably more popular Hillary Clinton – one can imagine Clinton’s rage were she to discover the methods that Obama used to stop her primary campaign. Biden, through Wambu, has likely been aware of this, if not actively involved, for some time.

#25:  Sadly this is true. It was widely known or suspected by everyone that worked on the Senator’s 2004 campaign.

Look at May 17th 2004 on Senator Obama’s trip to DC. Ms. Baker and Senator Obama stayed together at the Hotel George in DC following his attendance at the AIPAC conference. Any reporter that actually looks into this will find this is no smear it is sadly a fact about the moral failing of someone that is just another flawed politician.
